3 Day Kruger Park Exclusive Lodge Safari
Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger Park
The Kruger Lodge Safari commences with a retrieval from your Johannesburg lodging. We travel to the Kruger Park in an air-conditioned vehicle, following the renowned Panorama Route. The Province of Mpumalanga in South Africa is home to this breathtakingly gorgeous scenic area.
We will also visit the sites of God’s Window, Graskop, and Lisbon Falls during our journey. We will then proceed to our 3-star Safari Lodge, which is situated on the periphery of the small town of Hazyview, near the Phabeni Gate of Kruger Park.
We embark on our inaugural thrilling game drive in Kruger National Park after acclimating to the comfy lodge. Depending on the availability, we will either embark on an afternoon or evening game drive (to be confirmed en route to the lodge this morning). Late afternoons and early evenings are the most conducive times to wildlife observation, as animals are more active during these periods. We will be assisted by our guide in locating the creatures of the night during an evening game drive. Upon our return to the sophisticated safari lodge, we will dine before retiring for the evening.
Day 2: Game drives in Kruger Park
It is early in the morning as we prepare for our full day of game viewing in Kruger. We spend the entire day on game drives in an open 4×4 vehicle, in pursuit of the diverse wildlife that has distinguished Kruger as one of the top game reserves in Africa. I am optimistic that we will have the opportunity to observe a few (or potentially all) of the Big Five of Africa: the lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo.
We take pauses throughout the day to stretch our legs, eat breakfast, take comfort breaks, and enjoy lunch (own account) at one of the rest camps in Kruger Park. The professional guide will impart their extensive knowledge of the local flora and fauna to you as you explore, identifying and describing the animals, birds, other creatures, and features that contribute to the extraordinary beauty of the African wilderness.
In the aftermath of our eventful day of wildlife viewing, we retire to our nearby safari lodge for dinner and relaxation before retiring.
Day 3: Johannesburg to Kruger Park
This morning, we rise early and embark on our final wildlife drive in Kruger Park. Upon our return to the lodge in the mid-morning, we indulge in breakfast before departing and aboard our transfer vehicle for Johannesburg. During the journey, we will pause for lunch at our own expense. Your Kruger Park Exclusive Lodge Safari will conclude upon our return to Johannesburg.
Tour Transportation:
A luxury minibus that is completely air-conditioned will be utilized during our journey from Johannesburg to the Kruger Park.
The vehicle we employ for our game excursions is an open-sided 4×4 game viewing vehicle. A highly qualified guide will operate this safari vehicle that has been specially modified.
Regarding the Safari Lodge Accommodation:
The Kruger Safari will be conducted at a three-star lodge located near the Phabeni Gate of Kruger National Park, in the game-rich Mpumalanga Province.
In the midst of lush indigenous vegetation, the safari retreat is situated in beautifully landscaped gardens and exudes an authentic African safari atmosphere. A curio shop, two outdoor swimming pools, a wine cellar, a females bar, a communal lounge, laundry services, and 24-hour security are among the amenities.
Indulge in the comfort of air-conditioned rooms that feature en-suite restrooms. These comfortable and expansive rooms provide a view of the Sabi River or the safari lodge’s two swimming pools and lush grounds. Some of the rooms feature terraces and verandas that are ideal for gazing at birds and observing the resident hippos as they graze. Heating, fans, satellite television, and tea and coffee making facilities are also included in the tastefully decorated rooms.
The lodge boasts an a la carte restaurant that serves international-quality African-style and country cuisine. In the thatched boma area, guests have the option to dine under the starlight or on the terrace, which offers a view of the Sabie River.
The Panorama Route and its scenic attractions of Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, Pilgrims Rest, and Bourke’s Luck Potholes are all within a short distance of our family-friendly lodge accommodation. The safari lodge provides a diverse selection of outdoor and game viewing activities that can be reserved at an additional cost.
NOTE: In the unlikely event that the lodge is entirely booked, we reserve the right to use an alternative lodge of the same standard.
