3 Days Gorilla trekking Photo safari in Uganda: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Your journey begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your guide. After a brief orientation, you will embark on a 9-hour drive from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its rich biodiversity and home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population.
Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will check into your lodge, nestled in the heart of the forest. After settling in, you can enjoy a delicious dinner and relax, immersing yourself in the sounds of the forest as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Wake up to the sounds of the forest and enjoy a hearty breakfast and get your packed lunch before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority guides. Here, you will learn about the gorilla trekking rules and receive your assigned gorilla family for the day.
Embark on an exhilarating trek through the dense forest, accompanied by experienced guides and trackers. As you navigate the rugged terrain, keep your camera ready to capture the magic of encountering these gentle giants in their natural habitat. It may take from 2 to 6 hours to find the gorillas and once you find them you are allowed to spend an awe-inspiring hour observing the gorillas as they go about their daily lives, feeding, playing, and caring for their young.
After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest and a chance to share your experiences with fellow travellers. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner and relax by the fire, reflecting on the day’s adventures and the incredible wildlife you encountered.

Day 3: Departure from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

On your final day, savor a leisurely breakfast before bidding farewell to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Embark on a scenic drive back to Entebbe, with stops along the way to soak in the stunning landscapes and perhaps visit a local community to learn about their way of life.
Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey, leaving memories and photographs that will last a lifetime.
