3 Days gorilla fly-in safari is designed for those who have limited time but want to trek the gorillas and also for the luxury clients and those who are want to avoid the long drives on the roads from Entebbe/Kampala to Bwindi which takes approximately 9-10 hour driving whereas on the charter flights, you will one and half hours and another one and half hours driving on road transfers from Kihihi airstrip to Buhoma.

3 Days Gorilla Uganda fly-in safaris: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Transfer From Kampala / Entebbe to Bwindi National Park

Our guide will pick you from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and transfer to the Entebbe airport for your internal flight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park located in south western Uganda and home to half of the remaining mountain gorilla population in the world. you get to enjoy the beautiful scenery view seen below as you fly. Upon landing at the Kihihi/Kisoro Airstrip, our driver guide will transfer you by road to your hotel. There is an option of flying in the morning or afternoon flights you can decide which one is best for you. Morning flight depart Entebbe at 7:45 am whereas the afternoon flights depart at 15:30pm. For the travelers landing at the Southern part Of Bwindi, there is only one morning flight which operates by 7:45am reason being that there are stronger winds on the southern part of Bwindi. The flight times takes about and half hours. Upon arrival at the lodge, check in and relax at the lodge, lunch will be served and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa community walk

After an early morning breakfast with your packed lunch, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking rules after which you will be divided into groups of 8 and assigned to different gorilla families. After, the ranger will lead you to the starting point of the trek to begin your trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas. The gorilla trek lasts between one to eight hours before you meet the gorillas.
The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. On your trek, you are likely to spot other primates, birds and rare tree species. After finding the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them before trekking back to the park headquarter where you will be awarded with the certificate of participation in Gorilla trekking.
In the afternoon, you will go on Batwa community trail where you will meet and interact with the locals in the communities, while here, you will immerse yourself in to different local activities like preparing local foods, art and craft, you will also learn more about the history and the traditions of the people, you will end the day with entertainment form the local women through traditional dances.

Day 3: Transfer to Kihihi/Kisoro Airstrip for your departure flight back to Entebbe

After morning breakfast, our drive guide will transfer you to Kihihi/Kisoro Airstrip where you will board your departure flight back to Entebbe international Airport. If you have a connecting flight on same day, you can fly out. But if you have same time to spare, you may choose to explore capital city and see some attractions Like the Museum, local markets, the kabakas palace, Uganda wildlife Education center among others,

The trip will start from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe international airport after the trip.
