Itinerary for Your Affordable Etosha Lodge Safari
DAY 1: Windhoek to Etosha National Park
The 5-day Affordable Etosha Lodge Safari kicks off with a morning departure from Windhoek. Your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation at 7:00 am and begin the journey to Etosha National Park, one of the top game reserves in Africa.
Your first night is spent at either Okaukuejo or Halali rest camps, located within Etosha Park. These camps provide excellent facilities, including a restaurant, basic shop, and swimming pool. At night, enjoy thrilling game viewing at the floodlit waterholes, where you may spot elephants, black rhinos, lions, and leopards.

DAY 2: Game Viewing in Etosha National Park
On day two of your Affordable Etosha Lodge Safari, embark on an early morning game drive through the 22,270 km² Etosha Park. Experience the dramatic landscapes of the Etosha Pan, a vast, dry lakebed that stretches out under the African sun. Keep an eye out for ostriches and other wildlife amidst the shimmering mirages.
After a relaxing afternoon at the camp, you’ll enjoy an evening game drive to watch the animals around the scenic waterholes. Stay overnight at either Halali or Namutoni rest camps.

DAY 3: Game Viewing in Etosha National Park
On day three, we explore the eastern part of Etosha National Park, near the Namutoni rest camp, which features a historic German fort. Discover vast herds of plains game, including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and the elusive Damara dik-dik, Namibia’s smallest antelope.
Return to Halali or Namutoni rest camp for the night, where you can continue your game watching at the camp’s floodlit waterhole.

DAY 4: Etosha to Waterberg Plateau Park
On day four of your Affordable Etosha Lodge Safari, enjoy a morning game drive as you exit Etosha National Park. Stop at the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Otjiwarongo to learn about the efforts being made to protect these magnificent animals.
Continue your journey to Waterberg Plateau Park, a stunning flat-topped geological formation that rises 200 meters above the surrounding plains. The plateau is home to rare species such as white and black rhinos, sable, and roan antelope. You can also explore the area on foot, taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness.

DAY 5: Waterberg Plateau Park to Windhoek
On the final day of your Affordable Etosha Lodge Safari, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your Waterberg lodge before returning to Windhoek. Along the way, stop at Okahandja for some craft shopping before arriving back in Windhoek, where your safari concludes.
