Itinerary for the Kruger Hiking Safari
Day 1: Johannesburg to Greater Kruger Park
Your Kruger Safari Hiking Tour begins with a shuttle pick-up from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg or from a designated point in Pretoria. From Pretoria, we travel northeast to Greater Kruger Park, arriving around 13h15 to 13h45 at Timbavati Gate Bush Pub & Inn.
From there, a driver will transfer you to the safari lodge inside Klaserie Game Reserve, where you’ll enjoy your first thrilling game drive through the private Big 5 reserve, bringing you close to Africa’s iconic wildlife.
In the evening, after dinner at the lodge, embark on a thrilling night game drive under the African skies.
Day 2-4: Private Game Reserve, Greater Kruger Park
Each day begins early with a coffee and light breakfast, followed by either a game walk or a game drive through the bush. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from our qualified guides as they point out animal tracks, flora, and the unique ecosystems of the area.
Afternoons are spent on further game drives or bush walks, with a chance to spot nocturnal wildlife during the evening drives. On these drives, you’ll be able to observe leopards, lions, and other night-active creatures in their natural habitat.
