5 Days Queen Kibale Bigodi Swamp Safari: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Arrival and Pick at Entebbe International Park

On arrival at the airport you will find the driver guide waiting for you to transfer you to the hotel reserved for you. Though in case of an early flight arrival you will be taken around Kampala shortly and back to the hotel for dinner and amini briefing about tomorrow’s activities as you head for Queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 2: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Boat Cruise

Queen Elizabeth will be your next destination on this day so having had breakfast you will pack your bags as you get stated to drive to the western side where most exciting tourism products lie. The journey will take you about 6-7 hours on the road as you enjoy the rolling hills in the western.   You can have a stop at the equator for a short stretch up and refreshments as you take photos then head on your next stop will be in mbarara town for your lunch meal then drive straight to the park where you will start having views of the game. On arrival you can engage in the boat cruise along the kazinga channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward to see the aquatic wildlife too inclusive of which are the hippos, crocodiles and some bird species. You will then returns to the lodge have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game Drive and Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

Very early in the morning you will wake up to a delicious breakfast meal and after you have eaten you will head for a game drive in the park where you will explore more views of plant species and animal species slike Lions, Elephants, Topis, Leopards, Bush bucks, Cape Buffaloes, Defassa Waterbucks, Giant Forest Hogs, Uganda Kobs.Head on to kibale since you will have your next day’s activity there and along the way you will be insight of the impressive mountains of the moon. When you arrive in kibale check in diner and sleep over.

Day 4: Chimp Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Have breakfast and then proceed to the kibale information center to earn more knowledge and briefing about the chimps that you are about to trek, then head to the forest the activity will take you some good hours and you will  find the animals depending on thief movement. There will be game rangers that will be able to inform you more about the great chimpanzees in kibale forest national park. You will be able to see other animals while n this very area  for example the Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Phoestes, Red-Colobus and the Blue tailed and the Red-tailed monkeys swinging in the braches of this thick forest. After your  activity you will then return to the lodge for  a lunch meal as you prepare to head for the outstanding Bigodi swamp walk where you will be able to explore a lot of birdlife like the Great blue Turacco, little Bulbul, Rwenzori Turaco, the Narina Trogon,  plus a lot more others. Back to the lodge dinner and then rest up. 

Day 5: Nature Walks and Return Back to Kampala

Be early to wake on this day in order to eat your breakfast and then head to the forest for an amazing nature walk where you will view a few monkeys and lots of plant species, back to the lodge for lunch then pack up and head for Kampala arriving at the airport in the evening hours to catch your flight back home.

Getting There

The trip will start from Kampala or Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kibale Forest National Park to Bigodi Swamp Walk and you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe international airport after the trip.
