5 Day Uganda Gorilla & Wildlife Camping Safari: Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast at the lodge in Kampala, you will head into the safari vehicle with accompaniment of the guide you will drive to the south western part of Uganda so as to head to queen Elizabeth national park along the masaka mbarara high way you will make a stopover at the equator in kayabwe stretch up and take pictures while here to keep the memory engage in an interpreted water experiment which is performed to show the separation of the northern and the southern pole. Driveon to Queen Elizabeth National Park making with another stop at Igongo Cultural Center for an amazing local lunch meal that’s freshly served. You can also take an optional tour to the Erijukiro Museum that features a lot of artifacts of the tribes of south western Uganda. There after continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight camping at the twin Lakes Campsite or Kazinga Channel View Resort.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise along the Kazinga Channel
Wake up for an early morning cup of coffee before heading to the park for the early morning game drive in the Kasenyi tracks.Youwill have an opportunity to explore a range of wild game including; cape Buffaloes, Leopards, Topi, Elephants, Kobs, Waterbucks, Warthogs, Hyena, lions, side stripped jackals among others. You will also view a lot of bird species since Queen Elizabeth National Park has a bird count which is over 600 bird species inclusive of which are the Martial Eagles, African Skimmer, Black-rumped Buttonquail, Chapin’s Flycatcher, Pinkbacked Pelican, Verreaux’s Eagle Owl, White-tailed Lark, Black Bee-eater, White-winged Warbler among other birds. At the end of the head for lunch after which you will head for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel which departs at 2pm to explore more wild game in the evening. Back to the lodge for overnight Camping
Day 3: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after breakfast, you will drive through queen Elizabeth’s ishahsa sector that is famously known for its tree climbing lions the short trees with overlying branches in present the best opportunities for viewing the tree climbing lions. with lunch en-route ,you will head on with another stop to the coffee plantation in kanungu local communities as you view the traditional coffee growing practices, its cultural attachment to the local people and its significance to the local community. You will be arriving at the park in the evening to freshen up dinner and overnight camping

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Early morning breakfast at the lodge ready with your packed lunch meal and drinking water you will then drive to the park headquarters so as to be there by 8:00am in time for the briefing before you penetrate through the forest to embark on the search of the rare mountain gorillas. The time of the search will depend on the movement of the gorillas but on finding them you will have a full hour to interact with the gorillas as you photograph them and live in the moment. After trekking you will set back and head to the car so as to drive to Lake Bunyonyi where you will relax and have dinner plus a night’s sleepover

Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
Transfer back to Kampala after having your breakfast meal the journey will take you about seven hours of driving through the highlands of kigezi region you will have a lunch stop in mbarara as you also stretch up and take pictures as you explore the kinyankole culture at Igongo cultural Centre there after back to the car to drive straight to Kampala.
