Engage in a five days safari south west of Uganda which takes you to mgahinga national park for gorilla trekking of the Nyakaezi group, trekking golden monkeys in this park since it Is the only one in Uganda where you can find the golden monkeys. Then also have a visit to the stunning lake Bunyonyi and participate in boat ridding canoeing among other activities.

5 days Mgahinga Gorilla, Monkey Trek: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Mgahinga National Park

Picked up from your communicated location to transfer to mgahinga national park, you will be briefed by the safari guide about all the activities that will to take place during the five days safari drive on to Mgahinga National Park in southwestern Uganda with some stopovers at Mpambire royal drum makers to witness how drums are made from skins and wood. You will then proceed to the Equator crossing, later lunch in mbarara town. Then be back on the road to drive straight to mgahinga.Relaxation, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking In Mgahinga National Park

Early morning breakfast, with your packed meal then will drive to Mgahinga National Park headquarters arriving in time for briefing then goto trek mountain gorillas. On finding them in the forest you will be allowed an hour’s time off interaction and taking pictures, there on return back to the Lodge for your overnight.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking Experience

Have breakfastand transfer to Mgahinga National Park headquarters for briefing before you head to the forest then proceed to the forest for your trekking activity. You will surely have a memorable experience on seeing the primates and interacting with them there after return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a Boat Ride

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi situated in Kabale district also known as the deepest Lake in Uganda; this destination is one of the few destinations regarded as the best place to relax after your gorilla trek. You will have a boat ride along the lake, have lunch and maybe in the afternoon canoe to one of the many islands surrounding Lake Bunyonyi or do some birding. There after return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Drive to Entebbe International Airport

You will wake up early to have your very last delicious breakfast meal on this safari, having had a great gorilla and golden monkey experience,You will have lunch along the way and be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight out of Uganda.

Getting There

The trip will start from Kampala or Entebbe to Mgahinga National Park to Lake Bunyonyi and you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe international airport after the trip.
