Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha National Park

The Namibia Dunes & Wildlife Safari kicks off in Windhoek at 08:30 am. Journey north to Etosha National Park, stopping for lunch in Otjiwarongo. Enter the park via Anderson Gate for an exciting afternoon game drive. Spot elephants, lions, rhinos, and giraffes en route to Halali Camp. Enjoy wildlife viewing at the floodlit waterhole after dinner prepared by your guide. (Lunch, Dinner)

Day 2: Etosha Game Drives

Head out early for a full day of game viewing in Etosha National Park. Enjoy breakfast on the Etosha Pan and explore multiple waterholes in search of Africa’s Big Four. Visit Halali Camp for a picnic lunch and swimming break, then continue to Okaukuejo Camp before exiting the park. Overnight at a lodge just outside the park gates. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3: Etosha to Swakopmund

After breakfast, travel through Damaraland toward Swakopmund. Stop at Brandberg Mountain and meet local Himba and Herero artisans. See a shipwreck on the Skeleton Coast before reaching Swakopmund by late afternoon. Explore the town at your leisure and dine at a local restaurant (own cost). Overnight in a central Swakopmund lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 4: Swakopmund to Namib Desert

Enjoy the morning exploring Swakopmund or join optional activities like quad biking. Depart late morning for the Namib Desert via Kuiseb Canyon. Arrive at your safari lodge near Sesriem in the afternoon. Take a sunset walk to the Naukluft Mountains and relax around the campfire after dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5: Sossusvlei, Dead Vlei & Sesriem Canyon

Depart before dawn to reach Sossusvlei at sunrise. Ride a 4×4 shuttle into the dunes, exploring Dead Vlei and admiring the towering red-orange dunes. Stop at Dune 45 for photos or a climb, then visit Sesriem Canyon. Return to the lodge by late afternoon to catch another breathtaking desert sunset. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6: Namib Desert to Windhoek

After breakfast, visit the Na’ankuse Namib Conservation Centre to track cheetahs with a local biologist. Continue via the Naukluft Mountains and Rehoboth, arriving in Windhoek mid-afternoon. End your Namibia Dunes & Wildlife Safari with a drop-off at your preferred post-tour accommodation. (Breakfast)

Accommodation Details

Etosha: Stay near the Anderson Gate in permanent tents with en-suite bathrooms, A/C, and comfortable beds. Facilities include pools, a bar, and a small shop.

Swakopmund: Centrally located lodge with private rooms and walking access to beaches, markets, and restaurants.

Namib Desert: Lodge near Sesriem in safari-style bungalows or tents with en-suite facilities, pools, and scenic mountain views.

Vehicles Used on Safari

Depending on group size, travel in custom 4×4 safari vehicles with pop-up roofs or large 12-seater overland vehicles equipped with charging points, seat belts, and panoramic windows.

Child Policy

Children aged 5 to 11 qualify for child rates when sharing with two adults. Sleeper couches are available for children under 12 in most lodges.

Important Notes

Flights from Windhoek should be booked after 17:00 on the final day. Airport transfers are available at extra cost. Etosha’s Namutoni Camp is excluded due to high fees for non-residents. Please bring swimwear and a pool towel.
