Day 1: Windhoek to Okonjima Nature Reserve – Namibia
Your Namibia Camping Safari begins with a pre-tour briefing at a Windhoek backpackers lodge. We head north to Okahandja, where you can explore the Mbangura Woodcarvers Craft Market, supporting local artisans. From there, we proceed to the renowned Okonjima Nature Reserve, home to the AfriCat Foundation. Here, you’ll learn about their wildlife rehabilitation programs for big cats, including cheetahs and leopards. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive, ending with a spectacular Namibian sunset and dinner around the campfire.

Day 2: Okonjima to Etosha National Park – Namibia
After breakfast, we head to Etosha National Park, one of Southern Africa’s premier wildlife destinations. On the way, we stop for supplies in Otjiwarongo before continuing into the park. We set up camp at Okaukuejo and embark on a thrilling afternoon game drive, visiting waterholes to spot predators and plains game. As the sun sets, we visit the floodlit waterhole for a chance to see rhinos, giraffes, and lions.

Day 3: Etosha National Park – Namibia
Start your day early with a sunrise game drive. We’ll visit various waterholes, spotting a variety of wildlife, including predators returning from their nightly hunts. After a break for breakfast in the bush, we explore the Etosha Pan, a massive salt flat visible from space. We end the day with a final game drive and another opportunity to visit the waterhole, where nocturnal wildlife gathers.

Day 4: Hoada Campsite and Himba Village – Namibia
We leave Etosha and head to the remote Kunene Region. First, we visit the Otjikandero Himba Village to learn about the Himba people’s ancient customs and lifestyle. Afterward, we travel to the Hoada Community Campsite, nestled between granite boulders and Mopane trees. Set up camp and relax, enjoying the serene surroundings. Your guide will prepare another delicious dinner over the fire.

Day 5: Skeleton Coast National Park and Cape Cross – Namibia
Today, we venture to the Skeleton Coast National Park, known for its rugged terrain and dramatic landscapes. Along the way, you’ll see the iconic Welwitschia plants and the remnants of shipwrecks. We arrive at Cape Cross in the afternoon, home to one of the largest Cape Fur seal colonies. After setting up camp, take a sunset walk along the beach and enjoy another memorable campfire meal.

Day 6: Cape Cross to Swakopmund – Namibia
After a leisurely breakfast, we visit the Cape Cross Seal Reserve, home to over 200,000 seals during the breeding season. Next, we stop at the Zeila Shipwreck before continuing along the coast to Swakopmund. The afternoon is free for sightseeing, or you can opt for adventure activities like skydiving or quad biking. Dinner will be at your own expense in one of Swakopmund’s excellent restaurants.

Day 7: Swakopmund to Windhoek – Namibia
After a final breakfast, you can visit the flamingo colony at Walvis Bay Lagoon or hike up Dune 7, the tallest sand dune in the area. We then depart for Windhoek, where we enjoy a light lunch along the way. The tour ends with a shuttle to your post-tour accommodation in Windhoek.

Namibia Safari Information:
- Airport transfers and pre- or post-safari accommodation can be arranged on request.
- Maximum group size of 12 guests, with a minimum of one person.

Namibia Safari Accommodation:
Accommodation includes canvas dome tents with camping mattresses. Sleeping bags can be hired in advance. In Swakopmund, accommodation will be in a lodge, hotel, or guesthouse.
