The safari to Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park  is going to present you with fantastic natural phenomena to see all along the way and back and in the destinations themselves. You will engage in a launch cruise that will give you views of the aquatic wildlife, the game drive that comes along with watching more game, and then the hike up that provides you with the stunning sight of Murchison falls.

7 Day Uganda Kibiro Camping Safari : Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

A pick up from the airport you will drive north of the country as you transfer to Murchison falls national park, along the way you will make a stop at the rhino sanctuary where you will be able to meet one of the big five game,. There after head to for another stop over for your lunch meal and a stretch up. Then drive on straight to Murchison falls national park with lots of beauties to see along the way arriving in the evening for check in at the lodge relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 2: Game Drive, Nile Boat Cruise & Hike to the Top of the Falls

After breakfast, start the game drive through the northern section where there are better possibilities of viewing the game in the wild game including Rothschild giraffes, Elephants, Buffaloes, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Kobs, lions, leopards, and water bucks among others. the activity will take you about three hours after which you will return to the lodge for relaxation then head for the afternoon thrilling boat cruise to the bottom of the falls and it sets off at the Paraa Jetty. Some time on the boat cruise you will see some aquatic animals, bird species and top most the magnificent views of the Murchison falls. You will then disembark and hike to the top of the falls where you will be blown away by the stunning views take pictures, and head to the car where the driver will be waiting for you to transfer you to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Hoima with a visit to Kibiro Salt Gardens

Having had your breakfast meal you will then head to the Kibiro Salt Gardens which supports the generations and generations of the area’s inhabitants. They depend mostly on this salt as a way of survival. You will experience a hiking challenge as you take on the foot path to explore more. Have lunch from the nearby area and head back to lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 

Early breakfast, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park as you drive through impressive the landscapes of Kyenjojo and Kagadi on reaching Fort Portal town stop for lunch and then proceed for Bigodi wetland walk that will present you with ideal ecotourism encounters, after which you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving for check in at the lodge, dinner and overnight camping

Day 5: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise 

After breakfast, set off for the morning game drive encounter to the Kasenyi region where a range of wild game will be encountered inclusive of which are the  elephants, water bucks, Uganda Kobs, Buffaloes, Lions, Spotted Hyenas, leopards, Bushbucks among other species, sights of birds such as the African White-backed Vulture,  Hooded Vulture, Ruppell’s Griffon Vulture, Brown Snake Eagle, Lappet-faced Vulture, Wahlberg’s Eagle, Bateleur, Martial Eagle, Grey Kestrel, Long-created Eagle, African Crake, Black-bellied Bustard, Temminck’s Courser among others. Head back to the lodge at the end of the activity for your lunch meal and a brief relaxation, before the two hours afternoon boat cruise that commences at 2pm. This encounter you will be able to view hippos, Nile crocodiles, and more bird species like the African skimmer, Yellow billed stork, Kingfishers and more wild game. Back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight camping

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi with en-route Game Drive

Have breakfast and embark on the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi as you take on an en-route game drive in Ishasha sector in the south of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of tree climbing lions and morewildlife. Drivethrough the fascinating Kigezi Highlands you will arrive at Lake Bunyonyi in the evening for check in at the lodge, dinner and overnight camping

Day 7: Boat Cruise, Island Walk & Transfer to Kampala

Morning breakfast and embark on a lake tour though a boat cruise exploring the majestic waters of Lake Bunyonyi .explore one of the many islands on this lake to see how the different local people leave on this lake. After the activity you will transfer to Kampala with lunch along the way as you also won’t miss the view of the impressive country side landscapes of south western Uganda. On arrival in kayabwe take another stop at the equator for a stretch then head on to Kampala arriving late afternoon and this will mark the end of your safari.

Getting There

The trip will start from Kampala or Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park to Kibiro Salt Gardens(Hoima) to Queen Elizabeth National Park to Lake Bunyonyi and you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe international airport after the trip.
