8-Day Wildlife Photography Safari Adventure: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Entebbe International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by your guide and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey offers a glimpse of Uganda’s scenic countryside, with opportunities to stop and capture snapshots of village life along the way. Upon reaching the park, you’ll check into your accommodation, nestled amidst the wilderness.
After settling in, have your lunch and take the afternoon to explore the surroundings, perhaps capturing images of the park’s resident wildlife as they roam freely in their natural habitat.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Nile River Cruise

Rise before dawn and have your breakfast before embarking on an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, when the wildlife is most active and the soft morning light creates magical photo opportunities. With your camera poised, embark on a journey through the park’s savannah plains, photographing majestic elephants, graceful giraffes, and elusive big cats as they go about their daily routines. The drive can last between 2 to 6 hours depending on the sightings of the wildlife.
In the afternoon after your lunch, board a boat for a thrilling cruise along the Nile River, offering a unique perspective of the park’s wildlife from the water. Keep your camera ready as you glide past sunbathing hippos, basking crocodiles, and a dazzling array of birdlife. Cap off the day with a visit to the base of Murchison Falls, where you can capture the sheer power and beauty of the cascading waters against the backdrop of the African wilderness.
Return to the lodge for dinner and rest in the evening.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Start the day with another sunrise game drive, giving you a chance to capture the park’s wildlife in the soft morning light. As you traverse the savannah, keep your eyes peeled for elusive predators on the prowl and the playful antics of herbivores as they graze and interact.
After breakfast, bid farewell to Murchison Falls National Park and embark on a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque landscapes and vibrant villages, providing ample opportunities for photography stops.
Upon arrival at Kibale Forest, settle into your accommodation nestled in the heart of the jungle, have your lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the lush surroundings, camera in hand.
Have dinner at the lodge and rest in preparation for the following day’s activities.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale Forest and Afternoon Nature Walk

Today, wake up early, have your breakfast and immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Kibale Forest with a morning chimpanzee trek. Accompanied by experienced guides, venture deep into the forest in search of these charismatic primates. As you track the chimpanzees through the dense undergrowth, be prepared to capture intimate moments of their daily lives, from grooming sessions to playful interactions.
Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, continue your exploration of Kibale Forest with a guided nature walk. As you wander along leafy trails and through sun-dappled clearings, keep your camera ready to capture the intricate beauty of the forest’s flora and fauna. From colourful butterflies to rare birds, every corner of Kibale Forest offers a new opportunity for photography.
In the evening return to your lodge and enjoy dinner before resting in preparation for the following day.

Day 5: Morning Birdwatching and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, bid farewell to Kibale Forest and journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park on a journey that takes about 3 hours. The road trip is known for its breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. You may have lunch along the way or once you reach the park.
Upon reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park, check into your accommodation, have lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring the park’s surroundings.
In the evening, have your dinner and rest for tomorrow’s activities.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive in Ishasha Sector and Afternoon Boat Safari

After breakfast, bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park and embark on the journey back to Entebbe.
