Itinerary for this Botswana Safari

Day 1: Victoria Falls – Zimbabwe

The safari begins in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where your guide will give you an overview of the journey ahead. Explore the stunning Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“The Smoke That Thunders”). You can also enjoy optional activities like white-water rafting, bungee jumping, and helicopter flights over the falls. Spend the night at a campsite near the falls, staying in pre-erected dome tents with camper beds.

Day 2: Victoria Falls to Kasane (Chobe National Park) – Botswana

Today, you’ll travel into Botswana and head to Kasane, a town on the borders of four countries. Embark on a Chobe River boat cruise to observe wildlife such as elephants, hippos, and various bird species. Overnight, camp by the river, adjacent to Chobe National Park.

Day 3: Kasane to Nata (Makgadigadi Pans) – Botswana

Your journey continues to the Makgadigadi Pans, a vast salt flat. In the afternoon, you’ll drive across the surreal landscape of the salt pans before camping at an oasis near Nata Pan.

Day 4: Nata to Maun & Khwai River (Okavango Delta) – Botswana

Head to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, where you can take a scenic flight over this unique wetland. In the afternoon, travel to the Khwai River Conservation Area and camp with stunning views of the floodplains. Experience a sunset excursion on traditional mokoro boats through the serene waterways.

Day 5: Savuti Game Reserve (Chobe National Park) – Botswana

Day 6: Khwai (Okavango Delta) to Maun – Botswana

Day 8: Divundu to Etosha National Park – Namibia

On Day 8, travel to Etosha National Park, Namibia’s premier wildlife sanctuary. Spend the day game driving and enjoy the abundant wildlife at waterholes throughout the park. Stay overnight at a campsite within the park, surrounded by the wild landscapes of Namibia.

Day 9: Etosha to Windhoek – Namibia

On the final day of your Botswana Safari, enjoy a leisurely morning in Etosha National Park, spotting any final wildlife. Afterward, drive through rural Namibia to the capital city of Windhoek, where your safari ends.
