The 5 days Gorillas and Chimpanzee safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park since the park is a home to almost a half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas and Kibale National Park since Kibale National park is the best park to view the habituated chimpanzees. The safari will start and end in Kampala or Entebbe International airport.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park

After breakfast, you will be picked up by our experienced tour guide who will brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will start off the journey to the jungle of the thick rainforests of Bwindi. You will make a short stopover in Kayabwe at the Equator for photography and other experiences. Continue with your journey and then make a stop in Mbarara Town for lunch. Continue with the journey after lunch and pass by the banana plantations, farms and hills of Kigezi. Arrive at the park in the evening and check in at any preferred hotel.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National park

After the breakfast, you will be gathered in one place for briefing about the experience of gorilla trekking. The experience can last for 30 minutes to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family you are to trek on that day therefore you shall move with your packed lunch. Once the gorilla family is found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them observing their characters, taking photographs with them, and then return to the headquarters of the sector where you will be given your certificates confirming that you have taken part in the tracking experience.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National park

After breakfast, you will drive to Kibale National park where you will pass through Queen Elizabeth National park and have a chance to spot some wild animals and also pass through its savannah. You will cross several rivers as you go through Kasese to Fort portal. Make a stopover in Fort portal town for lunch and proceed with the journey to Kibale. You will reach the park in the evening and check in at any desired hotel or lodge.

Day 4: chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National park

After breakfast, you will move to the headquarters of Kibale National park for the briefing about the Dos and Don’ts of Chimpanzee trekking. You will be divided into different groups and each group will be led by a guide into the forest to find the chimpanzee families. After the finding the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend about an hour with them for photography and other reasons. After the trekking, you will go back to the lodge for lunch and experience other desired activities.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
