4-Day Short Honeymoon Flying Safari: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

Welcome to Uganda! Your exhilarating gorilla flying safari begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport. As you step off the plane, you’re greeted by the warm African breeze and the vibrant energy of this beautiful country. Our knowledgeable tour guide will be there to welcome you and assist with your transfer to your lodge near Entebbe. Take some time to settle in, unwind, have your candlelight dinner and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Flight transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After a delicious breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a short domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip the gateway to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which is not far away from the park headquarters. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your experienced guide who will accompany you throughout your gorilla safari adventure. From the airstrip, embark on a scenic 2-hour drive through picturesque landscapes to your lodge nestled on the edge of the forest.
After lunch, immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings and prepare for the highlight of your trip – the gorilla trekking experience. Your guide will provide a briefing on the trek ahead, and then it’s time to venture into the dense jungle in search of the elusive mountain gorillas. The trek can vary in duration and difficulty, but every step brings you closer to encountering these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Alternatively, you can do a community tour (Batwa trail) where you have the opportunity of knowing how the Batwa lived alongside the gorillas in the forest before they were removed from the forest.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today is the day you’ve been eagerly anticipating – gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest! After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing by the knowledgeable rangers. With permits in hand, you’ll embark on an unforgettable trek through the dense vegetation, listening to the sounds of the forest and keeping your eyes peeled for signs of gorilla activity.
Finding the gentle giants may take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on their movements. Upon encountering a gorilla family, you’ll have the rare opportunity to observe these magnificent primates up close, marvelling at their playful antics and intricate social dynamics. Spend a magical hour in their presence, capturing memories that will last a lifetime before trekking back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Departure from Bwindi to Entebbe

After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Bwindi as you transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. As you soar above the Ugandan landscape, take one last look at the lush forests and mist-covered mountains, reflecting on the incredible experiences of the past few days.
Upon arrival in Entebbe, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey, with memories of an unforgettable gorilla flying safari adventure in Uganda. As you board your flight home, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the natural wonders of Africa and a longing to return to its wild beauty someday.
