Maasai Mara National Reserve Kenya
The Maasai Mara, occasionally spelled Masai Mara and locally referred to as The Mara, is a substantial National Game Reserve located in Narok, Kenya, inside the Rift Valley province, contiguous with Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Reserve was named to honor the Maasai People, the indigenous inhabitants of the region, who are thought to have migrated from the Nile Basin. The local Maasai refer to the area as “Mara,” which translates to “spotted” in their language when viewed from a distance. This results from an abundance of short, bushy trees that punctuate the landscape. Amboseli National Park, Kenya

Samburu National Reserve, Kenya
