Visit Lake George and Queen Elizabeth National Park

Lake George was named after a member of the British royal family, in this case Prince George, later to become King George V of the United Kingdom. Lake George drains to the southwest into Lake Edward through the Kazinga Channel.  It covers a total surface area of 250 square kilometres.  It is also known as Lake Dweru. There are a few activities that can be done in this lake such as; sport fishing, boat cruise, bird watching.

 Lake George has other attractions such as: shelving Rock falls, Million Dollar Beach, Magic Forest, Wild Centre, Prospect Mountain, Adirondack Winery, Saratoga Race course, Fort William Henry Museum and Restoration, the great escape and splash water Kingdom.

3 Days Lake George and Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Our company driver will pick you up at the airport and there you will leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen   Elizabeth National Park is one of the most outstanding treasures of Uganda. You will enjoy the journey since there are very many beautiful types of scenery along the way. You will also be free to stop the driver at any interesting point where you would like to view or take pictures. You will take your lunch at any town along the way in one of the towns before reaching the park. Check in your hotel for supper and an overnight preferably Mohican Motel with excellent services.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early for your breakfast and then you will go for an early morning game drive viewing herds of elephants, buffaloes and antelopes and some predators- lion’s leopard’s hyenas etc. Watch different species of birds. Over 500 species have been identified here making it a Mecca for bird –watchers some of these birds include Black-bee eater, 11 different species of Kingfisher, several falcons, eagles and raptors.

Then take an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to Lake George where you will see a variety of game mostly marine animals. This waterway joins Lake Edward and Lake George and encounters a school of hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, waterbucks and a variety of water birds. Catch a glimpse of water birds diving for fish, the Marabou stork, bee-eater and cheeky bronze-tailed starling as well as the majestic crowned crane. Retire to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight

Day 3: Lake George– Kampala.

After breakfast, you will go and visit the Prospect Mountain and after get ready to set off for Kampala. You will be dropped at the airport by the driver where you will catch your flight.
