Gomoti Plains Camp - Overview
Explore the wonders of Gomoti Plains Camp, nestled in the heart of Botswana’s Okavango Delta.
Named after the nearby Gomoti River, this camp offers the perfect gateway to the Okavango Delta, catering to both those embarking on their first safari and seasoned explorers alike. Gomoti Plains Camp is nestled in a vibrant wildlife region where you can embark on exhilarating morning and afternoon game drives, along with thrilling canoe and motorboat safaris during the flood season of the Okavango. A location nestled within a private conservation area offers guests the thrill of exclusive wildlife encounters, along with the chance to engage in activities that are off-limits in the nearby Moremi Game Reserve. Imagine embarking on guided bush walks and uncovering Africa’s fascinating nocturnal wildlife, such as bush babies, genets, porcupines, and giant eagle-owls, during exhilarating spot-lit night game drives.
The landscape unfolds with winding waterways, shimmering floodplains, and shadowy forests, teeming with a rich variety of wildlife. This region is renowned for its impressive inhabitants – elephants, buffalo, hippos, and giraffes – along with the chance to encounter one of Botswana’s elusive rhinos. And of course, it is a realm of fierce inhabitants: crocodiles lie in wait on sandbanks, hyenas roam the grasslands, and the majestic big cats—lions, leopards, and cheetahs—can be spotted in their natural habitat. It serves as a refuge for the elusive African wild dog – a must-see for many safari enthusiasts – and the bird watching is exceptional throughout the year.
Gomoti Plains Camp boasts a refreshing plunge pool, perfect for those warm summer days, along with a spa service that allows you to indulge in massages and facials right in the comfort of your suite. Contemporary yet genuine, Gomoti Plains Camp maintains a minimal environmental impact while offering an immersive experience in the Okavango Delta.
