As you step off the boat, a warm sense of belonging envelops you, drawing you into the heart of the tight-knit safari community. After lunch at the alfresco dining area with breathtaking views of the Delta, embark on a mokoro (dug-out canoe) for your first experience of navigating the Delta’s reed-lined waterways, where you can spot sable antelope and tiny marbled reed frogs.
With your expert guide once more at the forefront, you embark on a stroll across a nearby island, uncovering the distinctive ecology of the floodplains. Litle Vumbura also provides a hot-air balloon safari for an extra fee, giving you the chance to soar above and take in the breathtaking landscapes of the Delta.

Classic Twin Tent
The six beautifully designed en suite tents feature a cozy bedroom and a connected lounge area complete with armchairs, a desk, and ample storage space. At the foot of the bed is a sliding door that opens up to an outdoor space, featuring a cozy seating area and a shower, both offering endless views of the Delta.
Other Room Types: The family unit invites four guests to enjoy two en-suite rooms linked by an interleading door. A cozy sunken lounge leads out to a private deck that offers stunning views of the floodplains and the surrounding wildlife, creating the perfect setting for family adventures in the wild.
General Amenities
The central region of Little Vumbura is split into four distinct sections. The open-sided lounge area – adorned in gentle blue tones and featuring an ancient, hollow termite mound – invites you to unwind with a captivating book. Sharpen your skills in species identification and surprise your guide during your next thrilling game drive.
Next to the dining area lies a cozy bar and a boma space perfect for gathering around evening campfires. On the opposite side is a raised lounge area with a small walkway leading to a private sala extension, perfect for enjoying intimate dinners away from the other guests.
The cerulean swimming pool offers a breathtaking view of the waters encircling the island, teeming with snorting hippos, delicate pastel-pink water lilies, and a variety of thirsty animals approaching for a drink.
The Bush Buddy programme is perfect for pre-teens and teenagers, featuring a skilled staff member who will guide them through thrilling safari activities such as nature walks, traditional basket weaving, animal tracking, and call identification, all in a safe environment.
