Nestled within a secluded wildlife concession adjacent to the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, this tented camp offers stunning views of the enduring waters and lush floodplains of the Okavango Delta, situated in a particularly vibrant area teeming with wildlife. Herds of elephants and buffalo frequently roam in front of the camp, while the nearby woodlands shelter the rare, elusive, and stunning sable antelope, the inspiration behind the camp’s name.

At Sable Alley, you’ll find 12 tented suites, each perched on its own viewing deck and featuring an en suite bathroom. Imagine spending a blissful evening away from camp in one of the star-beds, perched high in a tree above a waterhole, completely open to the enchanting night sky. At camp, the excitement often revolves around the morning and afternoon game drives, but there is also the chance to glide through the water in a traditional canoe, called a mokoro, or, when the water levels permit, venture out on a motor boat.

Activities unfold in the exclusive concession, where your knowledgeable guide interprets the season and terrain for optimal sightings, while you also have the opportunity to venture into Moremi Game Reserve. This region is renowned for its fierce inhabitants – lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, crocodile, and spotted hyena roam freely here – making it a fantastic spot for bird enthusiasts as well. The secluded location allows your guide to venture off the beaten path for intimate encounters and to embark on thrilling night drives under the stars.

At Sable Alley, you’ll find 12 expansive timber and canvas suites, each perched on its own wooden deck, offering stunning views of the in-house waterhole. Stylishly adorned with sharp lines, this space offers the added luxury of a private bathroom featuring both an indoor and outdoor shower.

General Amenities
Sable Alley features a central lodge area elevated on wooden decking, providing breathtaking views of the floodplains and the waterhole right in front of the camp. There are numerous inviting spots to relax and take it all in, where you can discover the lounge, bar, and both indoor and outdoor dining spaces. Imagine a pool nestled among sun loungers and shade umbrellas, where the day winds down around a fire pit, sipping cold drinks as the aroma of dinner fills the air, all while gathering around a cozy campfire. The camp may lack Internet connectivity, but it does feature a central charging station for devices and batteries, ensuring you can keep your essentials powered up.

Dining At Sable Camp, all meals and selected drinks are part of the experience, with communal dining encouraged unless a private setting is desired.

The day kicks off with an early wake-up call accompanied by tea, coffee, and biscuits. After your exhilarating morning escapade, you settle in for a robust mid-morning feast. Lunch awaits you after your refreshing siesta, and there is a delightful pause for high tea before you embark on your afternoon adventure.
