Budget Etosha National Park Lodge Safari (3 Days)
Tour Overview
Etosha National Park, one of Southern Africa’s most beloved safari destinations, is the focus of this reasonably priced brief Namibia Safari. The 4800km² Etosha Pan, which is accessible, is awash with flamingos following significant rainfall. A diverse array of animals, as well as the white rhino and endangered black rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, giraffe, and numerous species of antelope, are attracted to the numerous waterholes in Etosha Park.
Our initial night in Etosha National Park is spent at Halali Camp, which boasts a floodlit waterhole that is visible from a vantage point that is elevated and offers exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities both during the day and at night. Our second night is spent in a cozy lodge located outside of Etosha National Park.
You will be captivated by the Etosha Pan’s vast, shimmering horizons, which are visible from orbit. The pan is typically composed of clay-baked mud; however, it transforms into a lake with heavy rainfall, and verdant grasses emerge when the rain descends.
The Budget Etosha Lodge Safari commences in Windhoek and concludes in Swakopmund, traversing Namibia’s notorious Skeleton Coast.

Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha National Park, Namibia
We departed early for this budget Etosha Lodge Safari, leaving our transient lodge in Windhoek behind. Before entering Etosha National Park, we stop at Otjiwarongo for lunch on our journey north.
We commence our initial game drive by entering the park through the Anderson Gate and visiting several adjacent waterholes. Our primary objective is to locate predators, as well as zebras, giraffes, elephants, and rhinos.
Our initial night is spent in twin accommodations within Etosha Park. We arrive at Halali Camp just prior to sunset, where we capitalize on the floodlit waterhole, which allows guests to observe wildlife as they imbibe in the evening. There is also a possibility of observing some of the more elusive nocturnal creatures.

Day 2: Safari through Etosha National Park in Namibia
We depart before sunrise and proceed back into Etosha National Park for an early morning game drive. The animals are at their most active during this period, making it the optimal time for game viewing.
We pause for a modest breakfast at Etosha Pan, Namibia’s largest salt pan, in the middle of the morning. Noting that this is a seasonal experience, guests are encouraged to venture out onto the flat pan to experience the immenseness of the 4500 sq km saltpan.
We visit numerous waterholes along the way as we return to Halali Camp, in quest of the abundant plains game and lion, rhino, leopard, and elephant that inhabit this wilderness area.
Upon returning to the camp, our guide will prepare a picnic lunch. Following this, there will be an opportunity to unwind, take a swim, or rest during the warmest part of the day before we proceed to Okaukuejo Camp. While traveling, we pause at a waterhole to witness a breathtaking African sunset over the forest.
We depart the park and proceed to our subsequent overnight safari halt, which is situated just outside the game park.
Twin-share permanent tents with en-suite toilets are provided at a safari lodge located near the Etosha gates.
Your safari guide prepares dinner, and we spend the evening conversing about our game viewing exploits around the campfire.

Day 3: Departure
We commence the day with a leisurely breakfast before departing for Swakopmund. We travel through the Kunene Region’s arid Damaraland, passing communal lands and halting at the Ugab River bridge to visit the striking Herero women who are selling arts and crafts to support their families.
We pause for lunch at the base of Namibia’s highest mountain, the Brandberg Mountain. Handcrafted jewelry and other African curios are available for purchase from a Himba community.
Following lunch, we traverse the Namib Desert, which is characterized by the awe-inspiring Skeleton Coast, which is the site of numerous shipwrecks. Along the way, we take a moment to appreciate the desolate landscape of the rugged Skeleton Coast and observe the most recent shipwreck.
You will have the opportunity to explore the charming seaside town of Swakopmund by arriving in the late afternoon. This brief Budget Etosha National Park Safari concludes with the transfer of guests to their preferred lodging in Swakopmund.
