Gorilla Habituation

Gorilla habituation is a jungle based activity that gives you four hours face to face with the mountain gorillas in order to make sure that these mountain gorillas get used to humans. The activity involves different groups of people starting with only four vistors each to the trackers and the rangers..

Habituation takes about 2 – 3 years for a gorilla family to be fully or completely habituated and a gorilla habituation permit goes for only 1500USD.

The gorilla habituation activity is hardly found in rwanda and congo so in order to enjoy such an everlasting adventurous activity you have to book your habituation safari in uganda dealing with the local tour operator mostly advised to use ADVENTURE IN THE WILD SAFARIS so as they have the best packages and services as far as gorilla activities concern.

Uganda has got two gorilla destinations that is Bwindi forest national park and mgahingah national park of which Bwindi is the top destination with half the world’s gorilla population.

Bwindi forest national park has got 50 gorilla families with only 21 fully habituated meaning that the park has got 29 gorilla families ready for the adrenaline Junkie.

4 DAYS GORILLA HABITUATION EXPERIENCE

DAY 1

Transfer from Entebbe international airport to kampala for a city tour were you will visit the kabaka’s palace, the uganda museum, the Namirembe and rubaga cathedral, the bahai temple, Gaddafi mosque, and the st balikudembe market (owino).

You then head to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Accommodation: kampala Sheraton hotel, kampala serena hotel, hotel Africana

DAY 2

After the early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi forest national park via masaka Mbarara road having a stop over at the equator for photography.

You will reach the park late in the evening heading to your lodge for checking in, dinner and over night stay.

DAY 3

After your early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for the briefing and then leave with several trackers and rangers heading into the thick jungles for the habituation experiences.

Upon finding these great apes, you are to spend strictly 4hours with these mountain gorillas and after wards head back to your lodge for lunch and then after wards go for the batwa were you will enjoy there songs and dances, hunting skill and many more fascinating cultures.

Dinner and over night stay at your lodge.

DAY 4

After enjoying your breakfast while watch the sunrise, you will transfer from Bwindi to kampala thus making the end of your 4day gorilla habituation experience.

• Snacks, lunch and enough drinking water.
• Long comfortable shirts and trousers.
