About the Safari Camp
Set along a dry riverbed within Timbavati Game Reserve, this rustic tented camp delivers an authentic bush atmosphere. The unfenced camp allows wildlife to pass freely, and regular sightings include elephants, buffalos, antelope, and even lions along the river. Accommodation includes eight canvas tents with wooden decks, thatched roofs, and en-suite bathrooms.
Guests enjoy shared dining areas, a splash pool, and a traditional open-air boma for campfire evenings under the stars. The camp runs primarily on solar power and accommodates a maximum of 16 guests, ensuring a peaceful and personalized safari experience in the heart of Greater Kruger Park.
About Timbavati Private Game Reserve
Timbavati is one of South Africa’s premier wildlife destinations, forming part of the expansive Greater Kruger National Park. With no fences separating it from Kruger proper, Timbavati allows wildlife to move freely between reserves. This region is renowned for its Big Five sightings and hosts over 40 mammal species and 350 bird species.
The private concession explored on this safari ensures intimate, uncrowded encounters with wildlife, unlike more commercial safari areas.
