Mara Nyika Camp - Overview
Discover the Mara Nyika Camp, nestled in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara.
The professional Canon camera set and Swarovski binoculars provided to each guest create an atmosphere at Mara Nyika that caters to those seeking an authentic visual wildlife experience. Nestled beneath majestic thorn trees and situated within the privately managed Naboisho Conservancy, Mara Nyika offers its guests the unique opportunity to discover the renowned Masai Mara while enjoying exclusive comfort, complete with a lavish viewing vehicle and a spacious 1,000 square feet (93 square metres) suite.
As a member of the Great Plains Conservation group and welcoming visitors throughout the year, the camp boasts an impressive background. With insights from renowned wildlife filmmakers Dereck and Beverly Joubert, Mara Nyika is situated in a remarkably vibrant wildlife region and along the route of the Great Migration, where countless wildebeest gather on the Naboisho plains. The focus is squarely on the thrill of spotting wildlife with morning and afternoon game drives, but be prepared for all-day safaris (complete with a gourmet picnic lunch) if the experience is truly remarkable. Additionally, one of the perks of a secluded location is the opportunity to conclude your game viewing with an illuminated night drive, providing an excellent chance to encounter Africa’s elusive nocturnal creatures in action.
At the camp, you will find just five tented suites, along with an extra guide’s tent available if needed. The intimate and personalized service at camp creates a perfect atmosphere for romantic getaways, while also being family-friendly for those with children over the age of eight, making it an excellent choice for exclusive bookings. Solar power illuminates your space and offers convenient recharging options, plus you can enjoy Wi-Fi right in your room. Experience the thrill of hot-air ballooning and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of a local Maasai community for an additional fee.

Culinary experiences
Three meals a day are crafted with precision by an executive chef in a cutting-edge kitchen, yet the timing and setting of these meals are wonderfully adaptable to ensure remarkable wildlife experiences. Absolutely, enjoying picnic breakfasts and lunches is a common practice, particularly throughout migration season. With a little advance notice, we can accommodate vegetarians and vegans, as well as provide families with meals that are perfect for kids.
Meals can be savored in the heart of the savannah or within the cozy confines of camp, depending on the weather. Whether gathered around group tables or enjoying a more intimate setting, the experience is tailored to suit the moment. Breakfasts and lunches are nourishing, satisfying, and made with care; dinner transforms into a more elaborate experience with a variety of choices.
