Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya
Leaving Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, this morning, we will traverse the Great Rift Valley’s floor to descend the escarpment. We reach at our luxurious tented camp in a private Masai Mara Conservancy just in time for lunch.
Afterward, we embark on our inaugural exhilarating wildlife drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is regarded as one of the most renowned safari destinations in Africa. Following the meandering meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya, Masai Mara encompasses 1510 km² of breathtaking, expansive landscapes and fertile riverine woodland. A single glance suffices to elucidate its allure. It is the quintessential African savannah country, home to a plethora of extraordinary fauna.
Upon our return from the initial game-viewing excursion of our Masai Mara Safari in Kenya, we dine at camp and unwind under the stars, drifting off to sleep to the noises of the bush.

Day 2: Masai Mara Safari in Kenya
The entire second day is dedicated to game viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most exceptional wildlife park.
Our morning and afternoon game drives explore the vast Kenyan game reserve in quest of Africa’s Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo), as well as a variety of other wildlife. The Masai Mara provides breathtaking sunsets that are well worth documenting on camera on clear days.
Throughout the extensive Masai Mara, you will encounter a plethora of wildlife, including Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests, and wildebeests. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also located in significant quantities. Lions are frequently observed either basking in the sun after a substantial meal or surveying the plains in anticipation of their next meal. Leopards and cheetahs are relatively prevalent, although they are more difficult to observe.
The annual wildebeest exodus, or the Great Migration, is unquestionably the most significant event in this context. During July and August, millions of these grass eaters migrate north from Tanzania’s Serengeti in pursuit of greener grass, only to return south again in October.
Viewing the savannah plains, which are teeming with wildlife, is a wholly exceptional experience through hot-air balloon rides. These Masai Mara balloon excursions are available at an additional expense. Cultural excursions are also available at an additional cost for individuals who wish to immerse themselves in the Maasai culture of the region.

Explaining the Great Migration of the Wildebeest
Please be advised that the Great Migration of the Wildebeest is seasonal. It is unpredictable and agile as a natural wildlife phenomenon. Due to this, it is impossible to guarantee that one will witness the Great Migration.
The wildebeest and other untamed herbivores migrate between the Serengeti in Tanzania and the Masai Mara in Kenya. These herds traverse a vast circular route that spans approximately 1200 miles (1931 km). It is a perpetual movement of wildlife that can be observed in various regions at varying periods of the year. The animals disperse or slow down during specific phases of this annual voyage, while the migration accelerates at other times, resulting in the herds becoming denser and larger. The movement of these vast wildlife herds varies from year to year, in addition to the fact that the Wildebeest Great Migration varies from place to place and season to season.
Please consult with a travel expert at Adventure in the Wild Safaris to learn more about the possibility of witnessing the Great Migration during your safari. Additionally, please refer Complete Guide to Africa Wildebeest Migration in the Serengeti and Masai Mara.
