Days 6–7: From Solitaire to Swakopmund – Namibia Camping Safari

Our Namibia camping safari continues westward to the Atlantic coast, with a scenic stop at the Tropic of Capricorn for a quick photo opportunity. As we reach Swakopmund, the cool sea breeze offers welcome relief from the heat of the Namib Desert.

Situated between the Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean, Swakopmund is Namibia’s premier coastal town. Known for its German architecture, palm-lined streets, and beachside promenades, Swakopmund offers a lively contrast to the desert silence. Enjoy sightseeing in town, unwind at a local café, or take part in adrenaline-pumping activities such as quad biking, sandboarding, skydiving, kayaking, and guided desert walks. Optional activities may include scenic flights over the desert landscape.

Only breakfast is included on these days, giving you the freedom to explore Swakopmund’s many cafes and restaurants. Enjoy local seafood and German-inspired cuisine in a relaxed coastal setting.

Overland Safari Transport

Travel is conducted in a custom-built 24-seater safari truck featuring personal lockers (70-litre), onboard tables, plug sockets, a library, an iPod jack, and a freezer. Additional transport includes safari vehicles, riverboats, and traditional mekoro canoes.
